Amy Jade Winehouse (14 September 1983 — 23 July 2011) was an English singer-songwriter known for her powerful contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres including R&B, soul and jazz. Winehouse’s 2003 debut album, Frank, was critically successful in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her 2006 follow-up album, Back to Black, led to six Grammy Award nominations and five wins, tying the then record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night, and made Winehouse the first British female to win five Grammys, including three of the “Big Four”: Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist; she had also been nominated for Best British Album. She won the Ivor Novello Award three times, one in 2004 for Best Contemporary Song (musically and lyrically) for “Stronger Than Me”, one in 2007 for Best Contemporary Song for “Rehab”, and one in 2008 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for “Love Is a Losing Game”, among other distinctions. The album was the third biggest seller of the 2000s in the United Kingdom. Winehouse was credited as an influence in the rise in popularity of female musicians and soul music, and also for revitalising British music. Winehouse’s distinctive style made her a muse for fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld. Winehouse’s problems with drug and alcohol abuse, and her self-destructive behaviours were regular tabloid news from 2007 until …

Shigeru Mizuki’s Yokai Photo Album (???????????, Mizuki Shigeru no Y?kai Shashin Kan) is a supernatural action RPG developed by SNK. It was released in Japan on December 29, 1999 for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. The game openly presents Shigeru Mizuki’s knowledge of yokai folklore. The mangaka is best known for publishing his own yokai-centered manga series, GeGeGe no Kitaro. He also provided the main visuals for this game. The player is a curious pupil of Mizuki’s yokai hunting class. The game basically consists of the protagonist investigating local residents for yokai sightings and pinpointing the spirits’ locations. Ideally, the main goal of these hunts is to snap solid photographic evidence of these creatures with a mysterious camera named Ungai. Should they ever get into a fight with a ghost or monster, the player has to rely on their camera -as well as their wits with folklore- to save themselves. According to Mizuki, the method of finding these spirits in the game closely resembles the same process in real life. It became a cult hit in Japan due to the game’s use of real locations. The gaming magazine, Famitsu, also promoted the game by participating in the game’s ghost hunts (both in the game and in real life). The staff’s story was chronicled in a humorous web comic.
Why do people love this game? Why do they become so obsessed?
The visuals aren’t really that great, gameplay is basic, the patches that come out are lame and boring and there is much better gameplay in normal single player console games. Is it the online thing? I don’t understand why some people love online so much. When I’m fighting with or against someone in a game I prefer to be in the same room as that person so I can communicate with and see the look on their face when their beaten etc. What’s the point in online when you can’t even see them and if its people you don’t know it’s like playing against the CPU. What’s the big deal about that?
The monthly payments are stupid we pay enough bills without a WOW account slapped on at the end of the month. That is probably why people become so obsessed with this game, they pay monthly for this crap and if they stop playing it their wasting money and because they are so far with their account they don’t want to cancel, so don’t you see, the GREEDY developers planned this, they don’t care about people playing games in moderation for their own health, they just care about getting their monthly subscriptions and hoovering all the money. Evidence of this is the fact that they release a patch for an upgrade on level capping up like 5 levels every month or so rather than just put it much higher or remove the cap in general. It’s a cheap attempt to add anticipation and more willing to keep playing or continuing to pay the monthly subscription.
Cant people see this? Why is WOW so popular and why do they become so obsessed when there are farrr better games on the market like Fallout 3 and Oblivion. At least once you buy these games you’ve bought it and don’t have to keep paying to a greedy company monthly and feeling the need to play constantly otherwise your money is going to waste
Hate me and criticise me if you want but it won’t change the harsh truth that is WOW. Go on Google and look at what WOW has done to people and the amount of therapy they need to get off this obsession. WOW is a colossal waste of time and money and is a monthly bill you certainly don’t need.
